The additional warehouse and canopy construction project developed for Sarıtaş Steel Industry and Trade Inc. at the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone in Kocaeli was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis in 2017. Planned to address the capacity requirements of the existing production facility, the project was delivered as a functional extension supporting storage and logistics movements.
The construction process was managed end-to-end by DEA YAPI, from geotechnical surveys to final acceptance. The additional warehouse was designed with heavy-duty floor construction required by the steel industry, wide-span interior volume, and height suited to forklift and crane maneuvers. The canopy structure provided an economical solution protecting materials and products from weather conditions, while detailed site planning was carried out for seamless integration with the existing facility. The choice of a steel frame load-bearing system on reinforced concrete foundations delivered both rapid installation and long-term operational advantages.
The Gebze Organized Industrial Zone is one of the Marmara Region’s most strategic industrial hubs, located near the TEM highway, the Gebze-Orhangazi-Izmir highway, and the Kocaeli ports. Concentrated with steel processing and metal industry companies, this zone offers an ideal production base for both domestic distribution and export logistics. Sarıtaş Steel’s capacity expansion investment contributes to the strengthening of the regional steel supply chain.
Since 1988, DEA YAPI has brought the technical discipline and experience it has accumulated in industrial building construction to the Sarıtaş Steel project.
