The New Foundry Building project developed for Trakya Döküm San. ve Tic. A.Ş. at the Büyükkarıştıran district of Lüleburgaz was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis in 2015. The project covered the integrated delivery of a new foundry line, social facility, and additional warehouse building — encompassing all construction, electrical, and mechanical works under a single contract.
Planned across a total footprint of 14,000 m², the facility brings together multiple functional units including the Threading Building, Social Building, 6th Foundry, Boiler Building, and Sand Plant. The foundations were designed using isolated and mat foundation systems based on soil conditions and load distribution. For the superstructure, reinforced concrete and steel frame systems were combined to meet the high thermal resistance and wide-span requirements of foundry operations. Ventilation, filtration, and high-durability flooring solutions essential to metal processing and casting were implemented with particular attention.
The Büyükkarıştıran district of Lüleburgaz lies within Thrace’s densely industrialized logistics corridor and offers strategic advantages for export-oriented production thanks to its proximity to the Istanbul-Edirne highway and Tekirdağ ports.
