The rockwool factory construction project developed for Betek Taşyünü San. ve Tic. A.Ş. within the Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis, covering a total of 19,000 m² of indoor area that integrates the production facility and the office building into a single industrial complex. The project scope included not only civil construction but also mechanical and electrical installation works, along with the process equipment setup required for the production line.
Rockwool manufacturing is a technically demanding process that requires high-temperature operating conditions, specialized ventilation systems, and precise process equipment integration. Accordingly, the steel frame load-bearing structure was designed to provide wide-span production halls, while reinforced concrete foundations, infrastructure, MEP systems, and process connections were executed in compliance with the insulation industry’s standards. The administrative building was positioned in functional separation from, yet integrated with, the production area.
The Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone is located at the intersection of the Marmara and Aegean regions and stands out for its strong logistics infrastructure. Its convenient access to the Istanbul, Izmir, and Central Anatolia markets makes the region a strategic production hub for the thermal insulation and construction materials industry.
