The factory and office building project developed for Tozmetal within the Istanbul Atatürk Airport Free Zone — under İSBİ İstanbul Atatürk Havalimanı Serbest Bölgesi Kurucu ve İşleticisi A.Ş. — was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis within a tight eight-month schedule, covering a total of 10,000 m² of indoor area. The project was designed as an integrated industrial building with reinforced concrete foundations and a steel load-bearing system.
During the construction process, ground improvement, reinforced concrete foundations, steel frame load-bearing structure, space frame roof construction, sandwich panel roof and facade cladding, and fit-out works were carried out sequentially under rigorous engineering planning. The space frame roof system applied across 7,000 m² created wide-span, column-free production halls, providing operational flexibility for production lines. Sandwich panel facade and roof cladding were applied in accordance with international standards for insulation and mechanical performance, while electrical and mechanical installation works were completed to support process integration.
The Istanbul Atatürk Airport Free Zone is one of Istanbul’s strategic export corridors and offers a privileged location for export-oriented manufacturers by providing direct access to air cargo logistics. The customs and tax advantages granted by the free zone status make the region an attractive production hub for high value-added industrial products.
DEA YAPI has applied the experience it has accumulated through numerous turnkey factory construction projects in free zones to this project with technical discipline, on-time delivery, and quality assurance.
