The ground works project for the new factory building developed for İşbir Elektrik Sanayii A.Ş. within the Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone was completed by DEA YAPI, covering excavation, fill, reinforced earth walls, and reinforced concrete retaining wall works across approximately 40,000 m² of land. The project aimed to fully deliver the ground infrastructure that must be prepared to the highest engineering standards prior to the factory superstructure.
The long-term service life and safety of industrial buildings depend directly on the quality of the underlying ground infrastructure. Within this scope, excavation and fill operations on the project site were carried out to achieve the ground compaction required for the building loads, while reinforced earth walls were systematically constructed to control lateral earth pressure and safely manage grade differences. Reinforced concrete retaining walls were engineered and implemented to provide high durability and long-term stability. All ground works were managed through engineering calculations in compliance with international geotechnical standards.
The Balıkesir Organized Industrial Zone is located at the intersection of the Marmara and Aegean regions and stands as a developed production hub where various sectors — including electrical-electronics, insulation, and food — are densely concentrated. The zone’s modern infrastructure and convenient logistics access provide a robust production ecosystem for corporate investors.
DEA YAPI has applied the engineering experience it has gained in ground improvement works — which serve as the foundation for comprehensive factory construction projects — to this project with technical discipline, engineering accuracy, and quality assurance.
