The V4 Battery Building Extension Project developed for Oyak Renault within the Bursa Factory was completed by DEA YAPI on a turnkey basis in 2010. Sandwich panel roof and façade cladding works were delivered over reinforced concrete foundations and a steel frame load-bearing system, together with electrical and mechanical installation works as an integrated scope.
The scope included 2,000 m² of epoxy floor coating, 1,700 m² of sandwich panel roof covering, and 1,800 m² of sandwich panel façade cladding. The load-bearing system was completed with 150 tons of steel structure fabrication, and the ventilation, lighting, and floor durability standards required by battery storage and operation processes were meticulously addressed. Epoxy coating was selected as an industrial floor solution providing resistance to battery electrolyte and enabling hygienic cleaning.
Battery buildings are facilities with specialized engineering requirements — chemical management, explosion and fire risk, air quality, and electrical safety. Ventilation system design is critical for preventing hydrogen gas accumulation and protecting worker health. Oyak Renault’s investment represents an important infrastructure component supporting the logistics and maintenance processes at the Bursa Factory.
Since 1988, DEA YAPI has brought its technical discipline and specialized process facility experience from turnkey industrial building construction services delivered to the automotive OEM industry to the Oyak Renault V4 Battery Building project.
