The Steel Foundry and Machining Facility project developed for Silvan Industry Inc. at the Gebze VI Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone in Kocaeli was completed by DEA YAPI on a 60,000 m² plot with 32,000 m² of covered area on a turnkey basis in 2017. All construction, electrical, and mechanical works were delivered as an integrated scope.
The construction process was managed end-to-end by DEA YAPI, from geotechnical surveys to final acceptance. Within the 32,000 m² covered area, the steel foundry section, machining (CNC) lines, raw material and finished goods warehouses, and office and social areas were planned together. Foundries are facilities with sensitive technical requirements — high-temperature processes, specialized ventilation and smoke management, heavy-duty flooring, crane bridges, and fire safety. In the machining section, infrastructure solutions requiring vibration isolation of CNC machines, oil drainage, and dimensional precision were implemented. Steel structure was selected in the superstructure for wide-span production volumes.
The Gebze VI Machinery Specialized OIZ is a specialized organized industrial zone at the heart of Türkiye’s machinery manufacturing industry. Its proximity to the TEM highway, Kocaeli ports, and the Istanbul metropolitan area offers strategic advantages for both supply chain and export logistics. This ecosystem, where the machinery and metal industries converge, provides an ideal location for integrated foundry investments like Silvan.
Since 1988, DEA YAPI has brought its technical accumulation and quality assurance from turnkey factory construction services delivered to heavy industry production facilities to the Silvan project.
